The National Senior Benefits Association (NSBA) has established this subcommittee to oversee the Senior Equity Access Program, an innovative initiative designed to enhance the financial well-being of senior citizens. This program, allocated $100 million USD in funding, enables eligible senior homeowners to access the equity built in their homes through a specialized home equity loan, providing tax-free funds. The unique feature of this initiative is that the loan balance is fully covered, allowing seniors to access liquid assets without the burden of repayment, effectively transforming home equity into a readily available resource. Our subcommittee is committed to ensuring the meticulous administration, transparency, and alignment of this program with the distinct needs of senior homeowners, fostering greater economic security, independence, and peace of mind for this cherished segment of our community.
